At VICE Media I worked with an impressive group of interdisciplinary creatives to launch the first-ever branded vertical in partnership with Live Nation. Over the course of 2+ years, we built a multi-platform channel devoted to covering some of the biggest live touring acts in the world through a mix of short-form documentary, social-first video, and editorial content. We also produced a documentary series for VICELAND called “Earthworks,” which followed musical acts like Miguel, Animal Collective, and Local Natives as they traveled to endangered landscapes to create music and learn about conservation efforts.
As Live Nation TV’s Editor-in-Chief, I oversaw a team of in-house writers, as well as a 50+ freelance journalists and photographers. Together, we published a daily music news blog along with hundreds of longer reported pieces and feature articles. We also produced real-time social content for music festivals like Lollapalooza, Austin City Limits, Governor’s Ball, South by Southwest, and Bonnaroo.
